Milchbar. Bar and milk. They don’t really go together. Nevertheless, for decades the Milchbar was a café, or bar, where you could enjoy baked goods from early in the morning – but not until late at night. The bar served milk, tea and coffee but no wine or beer. In 2012 Michel Péclard took over the iconic establishment just off the Paradeplatz, initially running it provisionally for a year until renovation work could begin in 2014. With this venture Michel Péclard and his business partner Florian Weber have made a very special dream come true. A haven where you can feast, relax, enjoy yourself and feel at home. The Milchbar, the house of gastronomic delights, is a further milestone in taking gastronomy in and around Zurich to a new, upbeat, sophisticated level. The Milchbar’s uniqueness is matched only by our team’s dedication to keeping it that way. A dynamic manager runs the show. The Barista champions work full steam in the Café Bar.
